MAKING MERRY AT PARTIES

What's a day of dancing without a dance party at the end of it?

Don't miss our nightly themed dance parties!

After each day of new-dance immersion, the evenings are for kicking back. Let your hair down with us at our exciting parties, where the only requirement is having fun!

  • Costumes are highly encouraged and the more ridiculous the better.
  • Dancing—of course! Lead your favorites, learn some of the other groups' go-to dances, or grab a seat and "chair dance" while you socialize with old and new friends.
  • Refresh and recharge with our homemade treats and fresh fruit.

Are you tapping your toes at the thought of it? We can't wait to see your interpretation of this year's exciting themes. Scroll down to read all about them!

2025 Party Themes

Thursday Night: PAISLEY

From Josephine Bonaparte's shawls and Oscar Wilde's ascots to John Lennon's Rolls Royce and Prince's Paisley Park, the textile pattern known as paisley has long been the favorite of strong personalities. Originating about 2,000 years ago, its distinctive tear-drop motif may have come from a Zoroastrian symbol of life and fertility, combining a cypress tree with a floral spray. The psychedelic 60s adopted it with a vengeance and we encourage you to do the same! Paisley out!

Friday Night: THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS

It's time to party like it's the year 1490! Taking inspiration from the controversial, complex, enigmatic and mysterious triptych by Hieronymus Bosch, scenes are from the Garden of Eden, Paradise, Life on Earth and in Hell where humans and odd beasts roam together among enormous floral panoramas. Let your imagination run wild! Bring your dreams or nightmares to fruition. Come in floral attire, come as a mythical beast, a unicorn perhaps or a griffon. Think "Cirque du Soleil" meets "Little Shop of Horrors." Anything goes but please wear clothes!

Saturday Night: THE CASTLE WALK

This 1913 dance, Vernon and Irene Castle's adaptation of the ragtime one-step, evokes images of early 20th-century social dance at its finest and laid the groundwork for the Roaring Twenties, the age of jazz, the emergence of Swing, and beyond. Then there's the castle: the Montezuma Castle that has hosted a whole assortment of famous folks over the years. So, whether you come as an emperor, a flapper, a Maple Leaf Rag, The Man in the Moon, Sir Galahad, Queen Victoria, or The Castle itself, you'll be in good company!

Already thinking up some fabulous party costumes?

So are we. And we can't wait to see you make your grand entrance at our parties at our next camp.
